Weekend party/dinner
I was lucky enough to have the weekend off. Beau and I went to a surprise birthday party for DaMovieGuy, also known as Alex. It was thrown by his lovely wife, Talley. Got the super tour of their beautiful new home. My favorite room was the movie-theatre-in-progress room! Next to having a library and a cemetery, our next home must have a movie room. So I'm quite envious of Alex & Talley's movie space! Got to see a couple of old friends and met some interesting new people (a chocolatier and a stunt man among them). Had a great time just hanging out and talking. Ended our night at home eating grilled cheese English muffins (don't ask) and watching Penn & Teller's Bullshit.
Sunday we had dinner at R.Thomas, which was excellent as always. We have a new favorite waiter named Johnny. Johnny is the most efficent and non-annoying waiter ever. And he never lets my coffee cup go unfilled. Johnny rocks.
Random video rental question......We use Netflix and have been really happy with them up until about a month ago. They went from taking 1 - 2 days to get a movie to us to taking 3 - 10 days. Anybody else having problems? Anybody ever use Blockbuster's dvds-by-mail service? Just wondering if it's time to switch?
